First of all, know that you are PERFECT as you are and that there is no one in the world that has your unique personality or characteristics. So inhale, exhale, and relax! That said, I focus on prompt-based candids as opposed to traditional posing techniques. I am a firm believer that a new outfit plus fresh hair and makeup is a huge mood booster for any photoshoot. To achieve natural and organic expressions, we love to incorporate movement and laughter so that you forget that a photographer is even there and just have fun!

You will receive all the photos that make you look your absolute best! Trust us, you don’t want photos of you with your eyes half open or caught in an awkward pose. The total number can vary depending on the event, the nature of the shoot, and the shot list requested, but in general, we average 40 final images per hour of shooting.

We understand your concerns and are happy to honor your request. Most of our clients understand that in order to be successful in our photography business, sharing visuals through social media and online mediums is crucial. They are usually okay with us sharing with clients offline, sharing images that do not show their face or any recognizable features (ie. tattoos, piercings), or posting without using names or tagging them on social media. This is crucial, especially for our boudoir portfolio. But no matter what, we will be respectful and honor your wishes, no questions asked.

How do you put your clients at ease when photographing them?
I have always been committed to empowering my clients to embrace and love the skin that they are in. That is why I also recommend professional hair & makeup for your shoot so that it can highlight your best features. We will use Photoshop as needed to enhance your portraits (i.e. blemish removal, skin softening, etc.) and remove distracting objects from the background, but you will not appear drastically different than you do in real life. Anything beyond a minor tweak will be outsourced to a professional lab and charged an à la carte rate (min. $50/image). If your desire is to look like a completely different person, then I am NOT the photographer for you and am happy to refer you out to someone who can do that kind of edit.

We are team Mirrorless here... Sony, and Fujifilm here, with top-notch professional flashes, reflectors, and LED lights! These brands truly emphasize our film-like documentary photography approach for both natural light and off-camera flash.
We have access to 2 studios in the DMV: Vibrant and Colorful Photo Studio in Fairfax City, Virginia—it is perfect for an eclectic and colorful indoor lifestyle or branding session and a Minimalist & Natural Light Studio in the DMV should you prefer that look & style. Hours are by appointment only and are an add-on hourly rate.
